Jan Chetna Sansthan (JCS) is a Non-Profit Organisation based in Rajasthan, India and having head office at Abu Road, Near Mount Abu of Sirohi District. JCS has excellent experience and achievements of around a quarter-century in the field of Tribal Development in Rajasthan. JCS has been working for the welfare of the Tribal people in the densely populated region of Abu Road and Pindwara catering to their rights towards their livelihood, health, education, women empowerment and agricultural rights; including the south districts Sirohi, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh and Pali district of Rajasthan.

JCS NGO team has been organising high level of social mobilisation with local community participation, management and the development of sustainable village institutions in the working area. NGO’s high quality transparent work and achieving targets on time through the active participation of the community with the promptness, clarity, accuracy, high degree of accountability, transparency and integrity provided it excellent reputation among the Government, Non-Government and International support agencies.

Non-Profit Organisation JCS has track record of excellent performance and achievements in the previous programmes and activities for development of rural tribal, women and child, capacity building, Saving and Credit Groups, release of bonded laborers. JCS organisation also has proven past intervention on Tendu Leaf Collectors Struggle for Wages, Drought proofing, Communal harmony issue, Right over the Forest Land and Education Programmes. The organizational structure, culture and management style of JCS is the main factor to gain achievements in its past interventions.

Jan Chetna Sansthan (JCS) has been working with major focus on current programmes such as Promotion of Tribal Tendu Leaf Collectors Co-operative Society, Right over the Forest Land, Village Groups, Bhakar Bhitrot Adivasi Vikas Manch, Saving and Credit Groups, Adivasi Bachat Evam Sakh Sahakari Samiti Limited, Integrated Nutrition and Health Programme , Right based work, Human Resource Development, Microfinance Initiatives, Education, Child Sponsorship, Tribal development fund, Social Audits, Community empowerment, Elected Women PRI Representatives’ capacity building, People’s Institution, Networking and Liaison with Government Departments. JCS is working for integrated development like Horticulture, Animal husbandry, Improved agriculture, Women welfare and other social improvement activities. Women based gender sensitive approach with great involvement of women in all the programmes is one of its main focus in all the activities.
